A professional installation
and service plan are two of the most important aspects of the billing
process. This is one place we see a lot of companies fail. By
not doing proper installations, and not staying on top of the service
month in and month out, you will never have a 100% accurate and
reliable billing. This is where Energy Billing Systems excels.
We have developed a streamlined process that ensures the project
will be installed and maintained properly, so that your billing
is always accurate and reliable.
There are many factors that have to be taken into account in order for a proper installation to take place. Factors such as construction of buildings, electric, gas or water system layouts, building proximities, changes in elevation on the site, heating/cooing systems details, etc., can all have a dramatic effect on the installation.
We send one of our project managers out to your site to do a detailed site survey before we begin anything. This is done to ensure that you are getting the exact equipment and setup that you need in order for an accurate billing to take place.
We guarantee a professional and precise installation on every job. Our technicians have the experience and knowledge that is necessary to make sure the job is done correctly from the beginning.
Energy Billing Systems has a unique approach to this process. After installation, our Setup department reviews the installation information and data thoroughly to ensure that the project is 100% complete and ready to bill. They watch over the project for the first 1-3 billing periods. Then, the project is passed on to our Quality Control Department, who oversees the billing for another 1-3 billing periods. It isn't until our Quality Control department gives their approval that the project is 100% ready, that they pass the project on to our billing department. At this point, your Portfolio Manager and/or billing analyst take over the project permanently.
By analyzing the data so closely and frequently, we are able to spot a lot of simple problems that can easily be remedied. Problems such as consistently high readings are reported to management and can be looked into by onsite maintenance. Even though there may be nothing wrong with the data or equipment, there may be issues with the individual unit that could be looked into. Blocked vents or baseboards, dirty filters, stuck zone valves, malfunctioning thermostats, leaky windows or door seals, leaky faucets, running toilets, etc., can all have a dramatic effect on an individual unit's usage. By analyzing the data closely and reporting the findings to management, your management team has another valuable tool to better manage their community.

Over the last four years NHS has saved $572,000 on this property --- the cost of the installation EBS provided was less than 15% of these savings. EBS still handles our billing for this property and we have continued to find this relationship absolutely fair and rewarding. A true partner to the multi-family operator."
